​In the Greater Phoenix Valley,  the Phoenix Reds began to unite in 2023. Our founding members have unique individual experiences with the beautiful game ranging from Collegiate Soccer/Football Athletes, organized sports soccer athletes, directors/managers of Youth Sports Academies to lifelong passionate fans of the game.

Inspired by the documentary which connected us with the blue collar and fiercely loyal people of Wrexham, individual supporters in Phoenix started to seek out other enthusiastic fans.

On April 10th, 2023, one of our founding members, Randolf Huff was at the Notts County match to witness the glory of the Hand of Foz.

​

This all started in 2023 with a WhatsApp chat to build the Wrexham AFC brand in North America. This is where we first met Jim Steele and Stephen Jones of the Wrexham Lager Club. The founding members began to connect through text messages and the initial Facebook group for Supporters.  Soon after the first meetup was held at Angel's Trumpet Ale House, where the foundations for the future Phoenix Reds began to take shape.

The founding members of the Phoenix Reds followed the first WrexCoast tour to California taking in matches in L.A. and San Diego. The unofficial Phoenix Reds got a taste of the EFL football experience during the matches and at organized events prior to the matches. One notable event at the Princess Pub & Grille, in beautiful San Diego, where the US supporters were graciously welcomed by the Wrexham hometown faithful. The chanting was epic! Many friends were forged for life and the passion for Mighty Reds grew even stronger.

In 2024, The Phoenix Reds started the transition from a few supporters to an organized Supporters Group. The name “Phoenix Reds” was officially adopted to represent the group along with the original badge for the group. Our group organized for the second WrexCoast tour by taking in both the Wrexham AFC Men’s and Women’s matches in California. We were beyond ecstatic to learn that multiple Phoenix Reds featured in the opening day home opener program of the 2024 – 2025 season against Wycombe Wanderers. We were also fortunate to have a brief appearance in “Welcome to Wrexham”, S4 E5 “Anything’s Possible,” when we attended a viewing of Wrexham AFC vs Birmingham City FC at Cosm Los Angeles.

 

In July of 2025, the Phoenix Reds submitted an application to become a member of the Wrexham Supporters Federation and soon after recognized as an Official Supporters Group of Wrexham AFC.

We are a proud Supporters Group and look forward to growing the fanbase in and around the Greater Phoenix Valley and strengthening our ties with the Wrexham Community.
